You’ll “Wanna be Startin’ Somethin’” at Union Square in San Francisco on August 30. Pull out that jacket and glove and moonwalk your way from the BART station—maybe hit the pause button on your FitBit while moonwalking—you wouldn't want to erase your steps.

Film Night in the Park at Dolores Park: Back to the Future

It’s summer—you want to be outdoors, but you want to watch a movie but don’t want to be indoors—grab your picnic basket, gas up the DeLorean, and head to San Francisco’s Dolores Park in the Mission District to catch the classic, “Back to the Future.” And it doesn’t stop there: also catch Toy Story at Union Square and Fargo at Washington Square Park this summer in the city.

You like group workouts, you say? Then join the critical mass, literally. If you’ve ever been in San Francisco on the last Friday of the month and seen a horde of happy bicyclists, and wanted to join, then grab your bike and meet the masses at Justin Herman Plaza on 1 Market Street, San Francisco at 5:30 p.m.

Stern Grove Festival: Talib Kweli

August 16, 2:00 p.m.

Stern Grove is often forgotten behind its park brothers, Golden Gate Park and Dolores, but it’s definitely a Bay Area gem, especially when it hosts free concerts featuring award-winning artists. Usually caught in the Sunset District’s charming fog, be sure to bring a hoodie.
